Design thinking is often dismissed by those that fail at first to grasp its potential.

An exceptional example of design thinking is the recent campaign undertaken by Brazilian football club, Vitoria, located in Salvador Bahia. The intent was to raise awareness about the country’s need for blood. The idea was to remove the Clubs trademark red stripes from their jerseys – then gradually return them, stripe by stripe, as fans donate more blood.

A simple idea, uniting an existing community that already followed a single cause. Taking advantage of tribalism, a common good and a common goal through a beautifully executed design approach.
